Patient Advocates Call for Review of Allegations Raised About Prosperity Dental Group in Lake Park, Florida

Lake Park, FL — [13/01/2025]

Patient advocates and community members are calling for an independent regulatory review following a growing number of patient complaints and publicly posted online reviews raising concerns about treatment practices at Prosperity Dental Group in Lake Park, Florida, operated by Dr. Anna Royzman.

Investigative Report and Patient Allegations Regarding Dental Treatment in Palm Beach County

Verified Media Group Investigative Report Shows That Patient Paul Snyder Was Most Likely a Victim of Mistreatment, Failed Root Canal, and Unnecessary Dental Extractions at Prosperity Dental Group. It’s Super Possible That This Harm was Done, Just So Dr. Anna Royzman Could Make More Money Selling Him Unnecessary Dental Implants.

The patient asserts that alternative restorative options may have been available and has expressed concerns about the long-term health and financial impact of the procedures performed. He is currently exploring potential legal remedies related to his care.

Paul Snyder, a former patient of Prosperity Dental Group (PDG), has come forward with serious reports against Dr. Anna Royzman, DDS, asserting mistreatment, improper dental care, and unnecessary tooth extractions that he claims caused permanent harm and significant financial loss. Investigative reports & Google reviews show that Dr. Royzman has a history and pattern of over diagnosing senior citizens to make profit at Prosperity Dental Group.

According to Mr. Snyder, he sought care at Prosperity Dental Group for routine dental treatment and a root canal procedure that he alleges ultimately failed. He contends that instead of pursuing conservative or restorative options, Dr. Royzman recommended the removal of multiple teeth that, according to reports could have been saved through alternative treatment methods.

“I trusted this office with my health,” said Snyder. “I was told my teeth could not be saved, only to later learn that other dentists believed restoration was possible. I feel I was pushed toward extractions and implants that I did not need.”

Mr. Snyder further alleges that the treatment recommendations presented to him were excessive and financially motivated, leading to the removal of teeth he believes should never have been extracted.

He claims that these recommendations resulted in unnecessary pain, long-term dental complications, and the prospect of costly implant procedures.

In addition to Mr. Snyder’s experience, several Google reviews point to what is described as a broader pattern of patient dissatisfaction reflected in publicly available online reviews of Prosperity Dental Group. Numerous reviewers have expressed concerns regarding unexpected treatment changes, aggressive treatment plans, and billing disputes, often characterizing their experiences as “bait-and-switch” dentistry. These reviews represent patient opinions and experiences as publicly posted on third-party platforms.

Mr. Snyder is currently exploring and/or pursuing legal remedies related to his care and has stated that he intends to formally challenge the treatment decisions made during his time as a patient of Prosperity Dental Group.

“This isn’t just about me,” Snyder added. “Patients deserve transparency, honest diagnoses, and
treatment plans based on health—not pressure or fear.”

Prosperity Dental Group and Dr. Anna Royzman have not publicly responded to these specific allegations at the time of this release.

This press release reflects the claims and allegations of the patient and is issued for informational purposes.

Allegations & Patient Statements

According to multiple senior citizens who have come forward, patients allege they were recommended extensive and costly dental treatment plans that they believe were unnecessary. These concerns are echoed in several publicly available Google reviews, where reviewers describe similar experiences and express worries about potential overdiagnosis, particularly involving elderly patients on fixed incomes.

“These are allegations raised by patients themselves,” said a spokesperson for concerned patient advocates. “When multiple individuals — many of them seniors — share similar experiences both privately and in public reviews, it raises questions that deserve independent examination by the appropriate authorities.”

Operations & Compliance Allegations

In addition to treatment-related concerns, some former patients and individuals familiar with the office operations allege that Prosperity Dental Group has, at times, employed individuals whose work authorization status was questioned. Advocates state that when these concerns were raised, office leadership reportedly reacted with hostility rather than transparency. These statements reflect allegations only and have not been adjudicated by any court or regulatory body.

Further, advocates report that patients and observers have raised concerns regarding possible compliance issues related to workplace safety and patient privacy protocols. These include allegations that clinical attire may have been worn outside of treatment areas, prompting concerns among patients about sanitation and infection control. No medical determinations or findings have been made, and patient advocates emphasize that such matters fall under the purview of state and federal regulators.

Regulatory Review & Response

Patient advocates stress that they are not asserting proven violations, but rather urging appropriate oversight agencies—including the Florida Department of Health, the Florida Board of Dentistry, OSHA, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights—to review these allegations and determine whether any corrective action is warranted.

“Healthcare providers hold a special position of trust — especially when treating seniors,” the spokesperson added. “The purpose of this release is not to prejudge outcomes, but to ensure transparency, accountability, and patient protection.”

Prosperity Dental Group and Dr. Anna Royzman have the right to respond to these allegations, and any response provided will be included in future updates to ensure fairness and balance.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband has been here a few times- today being the last time. He scheduled a morning appointment to get there and be told by the assistant that the doctor isn’t there and they don’t know if she’s coming. Then once again told by an assistant (not a doctor) that he would need 2 crowns. He left with a very expensive quote even through insurance.
I set him up with a second opinion hours later and was able to get the tooth fixed and filled for a simple co pay fee. This is not the first story I have heard from this practice about have extensive unneeded dental work done.

all around awful experience

wouldn’t let me ask the dentist any questions. things were not explained to me well at all. said they would call me back and didn’t.

I show up for the appointment, they say it was canceled and asked if my phone was shut off because they tried calling. it hadn’t and they didn’t.

This place is horribly outdated, all the equipment and machines are almost vintage. Also I’ve saved A LOT of money switching dentists.

Worst office I’ve ever been to, the nice reviews are probably family members of the staff or something.

I use to love going to this Dental office . I received 2 cleanings with them before and all of my wisdom teeth removed which was great. But since then I have scheduled 2 cleanings both times i showed up I was told the hygienist was not there. No one called to cancel the appointments. Today I went in for an appointment with the doctor/owner/dentist . I was told by the front desk that the doctor isn’t here today and won’t be in until next week. Once again no one called me to cancel. This place is very unprofessional now. The lights weren’t even on when I walked in. I take time out of my schedule to drive across town just to be disappointed. And no one cares everyone is so nonchalant about it like it’s normal. I would not recommend now.

Zero stars. She is the worst dentist in the nation. She is a thief. She took $50,000 up front from my 93 year old father. Did not preform half the work. The work she did had to be all redone. She is butcher. She almost killed him. Real piece of garbage.

This office charged my insurance for services I never received. I am going to call the Florida Board of Dentistry. This is absurd.

Not happy with the fit of my teeth from a year ago. Went back to the office to complain about the fit but she did not see anything wrong. Can’t wait to get some money to get a professional fit that won’t have me crying

A good dentist. But be aware of costs. If you don’t inform them before hand. You don’t wish to be billed for dental procedures not covered by your insurance. You will be charged exceedingly high fees. And it could leave you having to file for bankruptcy

Never again! Back to sterile technique 101! The hygienist kept going from my mouth to the cabinet doors to the computer keyboard. After the cleaning, I looked for plastic film on the keyboard and door pulls and there was none. I pointedly asked how often these were cleaned and the hygienist casually replied, “Oh, I give it a little spray.”
WHAT???
I left a message for the dentist to call me and she did, and she tried to tell me there was protective film on the door pulls and the keyboard. No, there was NOT. THAT’s what I was looking for! I am so upset. This is unacceptable.

I loved the treatment.
Unfortunately my Liberty dental Medicare provider and the dentist were disputing charges. In the middle of placing the implants on the post implanted in the bone in my jaw, the doctor took me out the chair and told me to go to the front desk to schedule and when I walked to the front, the office worker told me they wouldn’t work with me anymore and showed me the door. I’m a disabled senior citizen and they threw me out like a bag of garbage. I went there for 2 years.

I went to doctor royzman to get a New lower Denture and was talked into getting a lower implant instead.
I am 71 years old, am now $20,000 poorer and went through a year of hell with infections, being on a liquid diet for 6 months, and trips to plantation Florida so that Dr royzman’s friend could try to remove all the implants.
I now have no front gum, will never be able to wear a lower denture again, and have a metal screw in my mouth that her friend didn’t take out.

Dr. Royzman puts profit over people. She is money hungry and takes advantage of elderly people. She is unsanitary. She walks around barefoot. She has the shakes. She smokes. She should not be in healthcare. She she should be a truck driver or join or motorcycle gang because she has no respect for the law and no respect for people.
